Tracy Berno is an Associate Professor at the School of Hospitality and Tourism, Auckland University of Technology (AUT), where she lectures in food and culture, and food politics. Her research interests include the relationship between agriculture, tourism and cuisine, and sustainable food systems. Tracy has researched and published widely on the culture and cuisine of the South Pacific and has co-authored two internationally award-winning books in this area, including Me’a Kai: The Food and Flavours of the South Pacific, which won best cookbook in the world in 2010.
