Hot off the press! Special Virtual Issue of Tourism Geographies on the SDGs

A special thanks to the Tourism Geographies editorial team for putting together a Virtual Special Issue of Tourism Geographies to support the Tourism and Sustainable Development Goals Conference https://tourism-sdg.nz/, Massey University, New Zealand, 24-25 January 2019. 

The Virtual Special edition, Tourism and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with 16 papers and an Introduction (by Jarkko Saarinnen) can be accessed here http://www.tgjournal.com/un-sdgs.html.  These papers are free to download through February 2019.

The programme for the upcoming Tourism and the Sustainable Development Goals Conference 2019 (#Tourism4SDGs19) includes 80+ speakers from 30+ nationalities. Add your voice to this first-of-a-kind meeting of tourism scholars and practitioners, gathering for critical and constructive conversations on the challenges to tourism contributing to the SDGs and ways in which tourism can be more inclusive, equitable and sustainable, in line with the values embedded in the Global Goals.

Extended deadline: CFP for Tourism4SDGs19 (28 Sept 2018)

The deadline for submission of Abstracts for Tourism4SDGs19 has been extended to 28 September 2018 and is approaching fast.  This first international research Conference on Tourism and the Sustainable Development Goals 2019 will take place from 24-25 January 2019 at Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand. The conference will bring together scholars and tourism stakeholders for critical and constructive conversations on the challenges to tourism contributing to the SDGs, and ways in which tourism can be more inclusive, equitable and sustainable, in line with the values embedded in the Global Goals.
