Transport

Auckland airport to Albany campus

• Distance: 42.1 km by car
• The Sky Bus North Harbour Express shuttle runs from the airport all the way up to the Albany shopping mall (Stop: Albany Westfield / Civic Cres). Tickets can be bought online or at the airport; a Return Online Saver ticket costs NZ$ 44. From Civic Cres you could walk (1.2 km) or hop onto a public bus to Massey campus (see also Public transport below).
• If you travel in a group, you might want to consider booking a shuttle.
• There are multiple taxi companies available at Auckland Airport. Given the distance to Albany Campus and Auckland’s busy traffic, you can expect to pay above NZ$ 100 one-way.
• Rental cars are an option for those planning to come early or stay longer and explore Auckland and the surrounding area. There are a number of rental car companies at Auckland airport. Expect daily charges to be at least NZ$ 80.

Public transport to Albany

The campus is well served by bus routes. Buses from many parts of the North Shore stop in front of the Atrium building on the East Precinct. This includes buses to the Albany Station on the Northern Busway to Auckland city. Phone Auckland Transport (AT HOP) on 09 366 6400 or go to the AT HOP website for timetables and fares.

Parking

Visitor parking

Massey University offers free car parking for visitors to the campus. Parking areas with visitor parking are designated by VP on the Auckland Campus maps (above).  You’ll find a parking area with visitor parking opposite the Sir Neil Waters Lecture Theatres.

Mobility parking
